Our women in fitness series is a celebration of fly girls doing fly things. Meet Chippy – an events manager and runner who’s on a mission to become stronger than ever.

Chippy’s story

I was always into sports and always wanted to be physically strong. I was a massive Liverpool F.C. fan so I started playing football (which I miss) which was fun. I then tried various other sports from kickboxing to sprinting to callisthenics and distance running. I started to lift weights in 2009 but didn’t take it seriously until after I had a stroke in 2012. Since then I’ve been even more determined to be strong!

I’m inspired by Serena Williams, all day long. She’s at the top of her game, strong, funny, philanthropic and an all-round badass! I’m also regularly inspired by Massy Arias because her work ethic is crazy.

In 2018, I hope to complete at least four half marathons. 1-2 full marathons and compete in a strong woman competition. I’m also planning on starting a blog where I talk about all things Chippy!
