On 18th March 2023, Fly Girl OGs, new friends and friends of friends came together at boutique studio Psycle to mark our 5th birthday – and we had a blast!
Led by the brilliant spin instructor Vinny, 99.9% of the class hadn’t been to Psycle before – while many were new to spin – which just goes to show why we’re still out here five years later: to encourage black women and women of colour to pursue a health and fitness lifestyle, challenge the status quo and address the disparties and inequalities in wellness and fitness that make events like our ride a novelty rather than the norm.
A special thanks to lululemon for the goodies and Psycle for generously hosting us. We were also able to raise money for Black Women Rising UK, which is dedicated to supporting people of colour with cancer. Check out a selection of pics from the event below, as well as Vinny’s banging playlist!
