Who is Matilda Egere-Cooper? Living proof that big dreams can become a reality.
Over 20 years ago, I landed in London with a pen, a pad, and a dream of becoming a music journalist. After getting a 2.1 in journalism at the London College of Communications, I finally made it (!), working at established publications and interviewing tons of icons like Idris Elba, Snoop Dogg, Stevie Wonder and Alicia Keys.
I also travelled the world, attended unforgettable gigs, and even won awards for my work. But what I didn’t realise then was that all those professional milestones were setting me up to empower women like me to chase their own dreams.
In 2018, I founded the Fly Girl Collective—London’s first wellness and running community for women of colour. The community started to improve the representation of black women in wellness spaces (which surprisingly, was seriously lacking back then!).
But over the years, I’ve helped countless women achieve their fitness goals, partnered with brands like lululemon, New Balance and the BBC for campaigns, and evolved the community into an intimate space where women connect, move, and experience the joy of sisterhood.
My professional and wellness life
Professionally, my career has taken some exciting twists and turns over the past 20 years. Although I started as a music journalist, today, I’m a senior creative leader at a multinational marketing agency, working on accounts for leading brands such as American Express. I’ve also had the honour of being selected for juries at Cannes Lions.
Along the way, I’ve run a photography school supported by the Prince’s Trust, worked as a content creator, and spent time leading a content and social team at an athleisure brand.
I’ve been through it all: building a career, battling imposter syndrome, being the “only one” in the room, and figuring out how to balance ambition with self-care while staying true to myself.
Outside of work, fitness and running has been my passion for years, and I’ve completed over 50 races, including 5 marathons. It’s a hobby that’s taught me how to set ambitious goals, stay consistent, prioritise my health and embrace the journey—even when it gets tough (because let’s be real, it often does!).
A partner in progress
Now, I’ve taken everything I’ve learned—from my career, my love for wellness, and my passion for empowering women—to help you create a life where you thrive and stay true to yourself. You’ve got so much to offer this world, and it’s time for it to be seen and celebrated! So, whether you’re ready to make bold moves, redefine success on your terms, or build habits that truly stick, I’m here to be your partner in progress.

I also use proven psychological frameworks and tools to tackle challenges step by step, breaking goals into manageable pieces and using tools to track progress. I’ll keep you on course and fully supported throughout the journey.
Empathetic: I understand how life’s curveballs can leave you feeling stuck or uncertain about your next move.
